Brazzaville city union suspends strike action

Municipal workers will receive their June 2026 salaries after negotiations with the city administration.

The union coalition for Brazzaville City Hall suspended its strike notice on November 6, which was set to begin on November 9. The union had initially announced the strike on November 3.

This decision followed talks between the municipal administration, led by Mayor Dieudonné Bantsimba, and the union coalition. The agreement secured the payment of June 2026 salaries for municipal agents.

This compromise addresses the socio-professional demands of municipal employees, as carried by the union coalition for Brazzaville City Hall.
